About Me

So often, we’re defined by our career. When you meet someone new, one of the first questions asked is “what do you do?” When I meet new people and explain that “I’m a pharmacist by training, but I make my living as a medical writer,” it always raises some eyebrows.

I’m a a bit of a nerd and a perpetual learner, so it came as no surprise when I chose a career in the dynamic healthcare field. However, I’m also a creative, always wanting to flex my artsy side, and as a retail pharmacist, the opportunity for that was nonexistent. Enter: medical writing, the perfect mix of science and creativity.

Outside of my career, I’m a wife to my college honey, Jeff, and a mom of two boys, Oliver and Griffin. I’m also a dog mom to two crazy labradoodles, Rigi and Lady. I was born and raised in New Hampshire and dragged my husband back there kicking and screaming after college (he quickly learned why I love it here). I’m an introverted extrovert; home is my happy place but spending time with my people brings me joy. I have a toxic trait of adopting more hobbies than I have time for, including but not limited to crochet, reading, yoga, skiing, photography, painting, and hiking. I’ve combined my logical, scientific side with the creative one to make the perfect career for myself, and I’m looking forward to using that talent to help you, your business, and your patient or healthcare professional audience thrive.

I graduated from UConn School of Pharmacy in 2016, pursued medical writing as a “side hustle” until 2020, then left my job as a retail pharmacist to pursue medical writing as a full-time career. Striking out on my own as a freelancer was a challenge, but it was ultimately one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I have found my calling and passion in my career as a medical writer. It offers me the ability to learn and educate at the same time, further the medical field through educating fellow healthcare professionals, work for myself, and be home with my babies.
